In 2004, A&D Weighing was selected as the supplier of choice to deliver its digital pharmacy balance to a major US retailer for use in its stores across the US. The GF series received NTEP approval for compliance with Handbook 44 rules for a pharmacy balance. Recently the GF series received another NTEP approval for use of its counting feature for prescription filling. Since these approvals A&D has seen its pharmacy balance business dramatically increase in the US. “Securing the business from this large retailer with stores in all 50 states has really provided momentum for our pharmacy balance business,” says Jeff Long, Director of Marketing at AND Weighing. “Our digital balance is accepted in all states allowing electronic balances and is clearly a better value over the old mechanical balance technology once used.”

The GF series pharmacy balance includes outstanding features such as an IP54 splash proof keyboard and display, a bright vacuum fluorescent display, bi-directional RS-232C and display auto power off. The balances are standard with large square weighing pans, a front leveling bubble, and an instruction card that swings out from the bottom of the balance for quick reference.
